Benson is one of the oldest communities in the Omaha area. It grew to a population of approximately 5,000 before it was annexed by Omaha in 1917; today, Benson is part of North Omaha and is one of the best-known and culturally important neighborhoods in the Omaha area. If you are interested in Benson, there are a few other options nearby to consider. Dundee and Memorial Park are just to the south. Those neighborhoods are going to be more expensive.
If you keep going south, you will find Aksarben, Field Club, and Morton Meadows.
Gifford Park to the east has some options but also a lot of rentals.
