In December, Prudential Ambassador will complete the transition to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

Last year, Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway bought the Prudential franchise network. They decided to re-brand Prudential into Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. 

This transition has been over a year in the making. 

The Bartusek Group will still be providing top-notch real estate services. It will just be under a different name.

Over the next month, we will provide more details about the transition. Stay tuned.

The prominent, Art-Deco-style Federal Building in downtown Omaha now has a new life as a Residence Inn. The $23-million-dollar project was handled jointly by Nelson Development of Des Moines and First Hospitality Group of Rosemont, Illinois. 

City officials have been very supportive of the project, knowing that it will revitalize one of Omaha's important downtown areas. Because the building is on the National register of Historic Places and the project receives federal historic tax credits, both the federal government and the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Office have had to approve changes.

Omaha couple Joey and Lindsey Bauer will make their television debut this Thursday on HGTV's House Hunters. The newlyweds were contacted by the show's producers after submitting an application. Crews from the wildly popular TV show visited Omaha twice to film the episode. Joey was OK with a house that needed updates, while Lindsey preferred a move-in ready dwelling. In the end, the couple was able to find a house that worked for both of them. Fortunately, the HGTV crew was present when Joey and Lindsey toured the house for the first time, so viewers will get to see their genuine reactions.
