Summer's sweltering temperatures are right around the corner. 

It's time to clean off the grill, overhaul the lawnmower and get the back patio ready for three months of barbecues and plenty of sunshine.

Great art, great food and a pair of great new additions to the schedule are a few of the highlights Omaha residents can look forward to this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the 41st annual Omaha Summer Arts Festival (OSAF) on Farnham St in Downtown Omaha.

 

Those who are thinking about staying home will wish they didn't, said Christine Dunn, OSAF's Event Project Coordinator. 

"They're going to miss out on a lot of fun and free stuff for their entire family," Dunn said. "And not just for them but their kids."

This year's arts festival features the beloved chilrdren's fair, the Young Artist Exhibition at the W. Dale Clark Library, the World Music Pavilion/Luigi Waites Main Stage and the Artists' Market.
